Optimizing Analog Simulation in the Cloud

Analog simulation is becoming more and more compute intensive. Getting the most out of your licenses and compute resources is critical for efficient design. RubyEDA has a system for managing and monitoring that makes sure resources are used most effectively.

Bio
Shawn Ruby worked at Cadence Design Systems from 1997 until 2011. He founded RubyEDA in 2013 to provide CAD expertise as an outsourced service, meeting a need in the industry. He holds degrees in Physics and Math (BA), BioPhysics (MSc) and an MBA, as well as being ordained as a Rabbi.

NVM Integration into BCD Manufacturing Node

As power and mixed-signal designs become smarter, more of them are integrating microcontroller functionality directly into devices such as smart PMICs, driver ICs, high-voltage designs, and other power-management solutions. With this added intelligence comes the need for embedded non-volatile memory (NVM) to support code storage, configuration, calibration, trimming, security, data retention, and in-field updates.
This session will discuss the growing role of embedded microcontrollers in analog and mixed-signal designs, the value that embedded NVM brings to these applications, and the key considerations for integrating NVM into BCD manufacturing processes. It will also examine why ReRAM is particularly well suited to this environment, offering a compact, low-power, scalable solution with simple process integration compared with traditional embedded NVM technologies.

Bio
Ilan has over 30 years of design & project-management expertise in the field of Non-Volatile-Memory, Semiconductor IP and SOC design. Prior to joining Weebit-Nano, Ilan served as the Memory-Group CTO and Subsidiary GM at Dolphin-Design, leading the development of numerous memory architectures, as well as innovation projects in the fields of security, rad-hard memories and RISC-V memory subsystems. He previously managed the VLSI activities of Sandlinks Systems – a company in the field of IoT, developing a breakthrough Low-Power, Mixed-Signal/RF SOC. In his previous roles Ilan was Director of IP & Libraries at Tower Semiconductors and Design Manager of Flash-Memory at ST Microelectronics. Ilan holds a BSCEE from the Technion – Israeli Institute for Technology, and has several granted patents and awards.
